Sherlockian Freeze in Trafalgar Square // For Save Undershaw
On April 21st we, in partnership with anotherbohemiansoul hosted a meet up in support of Save Undershaw (www.saveundershaw.com), which has been trying to save the former home of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of the Sherlock Holmes stories and much more.
The idea was a flash mob freeze. Around 70 of us gathered onto the National Gallery terrace at 2PM, some holding signs, others in full Sherlockian gear (Victorian & modern alike!), and then froze for five minutes.
Tourists and locals alike took notice, were confused, and then were enlightened. It was an amazing. Many of these photographs were taken by Anastasia Mishchenko, a freelance journalist who has graciously allowed us to use them. There are SO MANY photos.

Central London overfloweth with gorgeous, intelligent women with a thirst for murder. The Baker Street Babes: The Web’s Only All Female Sherlock Holmes Podcast. The Baker Street Babes are an all-female group of Sherlock Holmes fans who talk about everything from canon to Cumberbatch, Charles Augustus Milverton to Jude Law, and dancing men to Jeremy Brett. We love Sherlock Holmes and we love having well informed, but also quite fun discussions about it. We’re all young and we’re all females, but we’re all die hard Sherlockians/Holmesian. It’s a demographic within the Sherlock Holmes fandom that is new and growing and doesn’t yet have a voice. We hope to become that voice and we want to prove that we’re not just going to coo over Robert Downey Jr and Benedict Cumberbatch, as lovely as they are, but that we know the canon and want to have discussions about it as well.
Eat your heart out Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Addicted to Sherlock: VOTE VOTE VOTE!!! #VoteSherlock4BAFTA
You may have noticed that Sherlock has received over 3,000 views less than Celebrity Juice! This is not “a bit not good” this is “a LOT not good” if the views are an accurate representation as to the amounts of votes each has received.
So if you…
“Good heavens, who would associate crime with these dear old homesteads?”
“They always fill me with a sudden horror. It is my belief Watson, founded upon my experience, that the lowest and vilest alleys in London do not present a more dreadful record of sin than does the smiling and beautiful countryside.”

Tumblr Sherlockians! Have you read Sub Rosa: A Correspondence by Wire, by Professor_Pangaea yet? If not, WHY NOT? It is a pastiche of beauty and wonder and Photoshopped telegrams between the two brothers, during the three-year period post-The Final Problem. It has been on the Internet forever, but I never, ever, tire of it. GO FORTH! READ!
This is fantastic.
Seventeen Steps to 221B, James Edward Holroyd
